Dental Implants replace missing teeth and make dentures solid.
Dental implants are the best way to replace missing teeth and can also provide a fixed non-removable solution. Implants can also provide excellent support and stability for removable dental appliances such as partials and dentures.
Dental implants are artificial roots (usually titanium) that are placed into the upper or lower jaw by Dr. Howard. The teeth attached to implants are very natural and restore a patient’s smile! Dental implants are very strong and the most natural way to replace teeth. It is the most permanent procedure available.
Reasons for dental implants:
What does getting dental implants involve?
A dental CT scan and impressions (molds) are taken of the jaw and teeth to allow for the discussion of options and ensure successful placement. While the area is numb, the implant will be placed and allowed to integrate (become solid). Often implants can be used immediately after placement; however, it may take three to six months for the implant to become solid.
This implant is the root for your new tooth or support for your denture. The crown or denture is securely attached to the implant, providing excellent stability and comfort to the patient.
You will receive care instructions when your treatment is completed. Good oral hygiene and regular dental visits are essential to the life of your new implant.
