What does getting dental implants involve?
A mini dental CT scan and impressions (molds) are taken of the jaw and teeth to allow for the discussion of options and ensure successful placement. While the area is numb the implant will be placed. It is then allowed to integrate (become solid) over a 3 to 4 month period. Some implants can be used immediately after placement.
This implant is the root for your new tooth or support for your denture. The crown or denture is securely attached to the implant, providing excellent stability and comfort to the patient.
You will receive care instructions when your treatment is completed. Good oral hygiene and regular dental visits are essential to the life of your new implant.
